MatchPlay 21: An Exciting Blackjack Variation
MatchPlay 21 is a variant of the blackjack game that gives players several payouts for various card combinations made. One of the cards dealt to the dealer is face up and the other is face down. - MatchPlay 21 has required the dealer to stand on a hard hand 17 and also soft hand 18. - The basic player moves of splitting pairs and hitting after splitting pairs are allowed in a MatchPlay 21 game. - Players are allowed to re-split up to three hands only and re-splitting of Aces is also allowed. - Doubling down is only allowed once in MatchPlay 21 and doubling down after splitting pairs is only allowed if players have not double down before. - Players are not allowed to hit after doubling down in MatchPlay 21. - Surrender is not allowed and there are no winners in a push between player and dealer. - The payout for blackjacks in MatchPlay 21 is three to two but if blackjack happens after splitting pairs, there is no payoff given. - The values of the cards are still the with the standard blackjack game and multiple hand playing is not available in MatchPlay 21.
